Our services
Everything sorted, properly.
Wills, powers of attorney, trusts and estate planning — all in plain English, all done with care. Whatever stage you're at, we'll help you set out your wishes and look after the people who matter.
There's no big mystery to any of this. Sorting your affairs is really about one thing: taking control, so your family isn't left guessing. We make it straightforward, we explain everything, and we never bamboozle you with jargon.
Here's what we help with.
Wills
Decide who gets what, who's in charge, and spare your family the guesswork. Everyone really should have one.

Choose who'd step in for you if illness or accident meant you couldn't. And no — it's not just for older folk.
Protect family wealth and look after the people who need a bit of extra care, the right way.
Bring the whole picture together — home, savings, pensions, the lot — around what matters to you, tax-efficiently.
Because life moves on, and the law changes — and the worst time to sort your affairs is when it's too late. Get it done and you'll have the comfort of knowing it's handled: less stress for your family, less tax where it can be saved, and your wishes set down clearly.
It usually takes far less time, and far less fuss, than people expect.

The clever bit
A will that tells you when it needs a look.
Lawyers are famously bad at staying in touch. We've done something about it. Every will we write comes with a QR code on the cover. Scan it whenever you like and, in a couple of taps, we'll tell you whether life or the law means it's worth a review. No more "sign it and forget it."

A will puts you in charge.
Choose who benefits, who's in charge, and protect the people you love.
A will lets you decide how your estate is divided, who looks after children under 16, and who administers everything — sparing your family delay, cost and disputes at a hard time.
How it helps you
Protecting loved ones
Control & choice
Certainty
Speeds things up
Fewer disputes
Keeping wealth in the family
Caring for young children or vulnerable adults
Business stewardship
Good to know
Without a will, Scotland's intestacy rules decide for you — and the results can be strange. A long-term partner may even have to ask a court for permission to inherit. A will avoids all that.
Power of Attorney
Choose who'd step in — before you ever need them to.
A power of attorney lets someone you trust handle things if illness or accident meant you couldn't.
Without one, no one — not even your spouse or child — automatically has the right to manage your money or speak to your bank or doctors. Sorting it out can mean a long, intrusive court process. A power of attorney avoids all of that and takes the weight off your family.
"It's just for old people."
Not true. Illness and accidents don't check your age. This is protection for everyone.
How it helps you
Someone you trust in charge
Avoid the court process
Cover money & health decisions
Take the weight off family
Peace of mind at any age
Acts only when needed
Good to know
Without a power of attorney, even a spouse or child has no automatic right to step in — the alternative is a slow, intrusive court application. Putting one in place now avoids all of that.
Trusts
Trusts: control and protection, done properly.
Used in the right way, a trust protects family wealth, looks after people who need extra care, and can be tax-efficient.
Why people use them

Trustees
The people you choose to look after the trust and make decisions.
Beneficiaries
The people who will ultimately benefit from the trust.
Assets
The property, money or investments held within the trust.
Good to know
Trusts come with rules and tax to manage — 10-year charges, registration, reporting. We handle the lot and keep it simple. (And no — trusts aren't a magic way to make tax disappear.)
Estate Planning
The whole picture, brought together.
Your home, savings, pensions, policies and more — coordinated around your aims, in as tax-efficient a way as possible.
Your estate is a jigsaw — assets in your name, property, joint assets, pensions, life policies, trusts. On their own they're disjointed.
Estate planning joins them up into one coherent, cost-effective structure built around who you want to look after and how.
